The Inspector General of Police Hafeez Ringim today
confirmed that some suspects have been arrested in
connection with Friday’s bombing of the United
Nations’ building in Abuja.
The bomb blast has been confirmed to have killed at
least 23 persons with fears that more may have been
blown in the building, leaving several others
injured.
The bombing of the
UN building in Abuja, with responsibility apparently
being claimed by local extremist group Boko Haram,
it is the first such attack aimed at an
international organization.
According to the
NigerianPoliticsonline, the IG was not specific on
the number of those already arrested and how far the
police has gone in its investigations. |
